Getting Matilda's hair done before school feels like a challenge this year. We learned over the summer that a pony tail doesn't really hold up. Braids are cute, but take some time and may require unwanted/accidental tugging. And I don't know why, but I have the hardest time making an even part when doing pigtails.
So, Matilda's go-to request has been a bow or as she calls them "bow bow". Now, there are a lot of cute bows out there to purchase, but I figured I could whip a few up myself with the Cricut Maker.
I found this child bow tie pattern and simply hid the longer neck part before pressing go. This gave me all the parts I needed for a simple and adorable bow. Then, once it was sewn and assembled, I hot glued an alligator hair clip to the back.
Matilda loves them, and Parker has already requested a bow tie for himself. Well worth the time and effort!
This is not sponsored. I just really do love and use my Cricut Maker often. In fact, I was thinking about sharing more practical everyday uses of both Cricut (Air and Maker) - so let me know on Facebook or Instagram if you are interested.
