About

We all have cloudy days, moments in time that are really difficult. I believe it is what we do with those cloudy days that defines who we are. I do my best to give, live, and love while celebrating the everyday as mother, crafter, and donate life advocate.

I started writing this blog as a way to keep track of the lessons learned while living in the hospital with my newborn daughter for 72 days as she waited for, received, and recovered from a lifesaving liver transplant at six weeks old. You can find that ongoing story in my Therapy Thursday column.

I want to change the world. Whether that is making someone smile on a day they're feeling sad, bringing life to a new perspective, or encouraging parents to think about pediatric organ donation – my goal is to always move forward, work hard, and show kindness.

Although my work has been featured all over the web, I currently write regularly for Altitude Summit, eHow, I Heart Naptime, and Kids Stuff World.
