Every single day Matilda reminds me of what is important in life. She puts her coat and boots on and heads outside to play rain or shine. No matter what I am doing, whether it be rushing to send off a few emails, working on a photo shoot, or doing housework, she lets me know that stepping outside is much more important.
And, she is totally right! Grownups (myself included) get wrapped up in the dumbest things. Celebrating life is what matters most, enjoying the simple moments full of joy and appreciation are what matter most. Doing good for others is what matters most.
So, I am super excited to let you in on a little secret that Matilda and I have been holding in our pockets. Matilda was chosen to be the face of an organ donation campaign with Live On New York! Their slogan is going to be - Long Live Matilda! We are still working out all the details, but her cute little face is going to be all over NYC celebrating life, making people smile, and starting such an important conversation.
