color block animal heads

For years I have been walking past these animal heads at our local flea market. Over time I began to think that they would look cool spray painted fun colors for a kid's room. So, last weekend, I forked over the $5 per head and made it happen.

All it took was one coat of primer followed by one coat of a fun color. The moral of the story is that you can easily add whimsy, color, and fun by spray paining dull objects found at a thrift store, a garage sale, a flea market, or in your grandparent's basement.

Keep your eyes open, keep me updated, and happy spray painting!

Pinning this for later, and keeping my eye out for some ugly animal heads! This project is just so cute! I love these animal heads! What a fun way to add a bit of color and whimsy into a kids room!
