mini house makeover

I love to go treasure hunting at thrift stores. Most often, with a fresh coat of paint, you can incorporate unique items into your home that become eye catching favorites.

I found this little house a couple months ago and thought it would make an interesting addition to a gallery wall. But, the colors just weren't right, so I spray painted it white. But it looked too boring, so I added neon colors to the edges overlapping where the rooms met.

This project took about 30 minutes and now fits in perfectly with the rest of my living room artwork. And, speaking of living rooms, we have almost been in this house for a year now and I am so excited to announce that this summer I will be sharing the before-and-afters of 5 rooms over on the World Market blog! It doesn't get much more exciting than that!
