I have partnered with Sprout by HP in the past (here and here) and was so excited when they invited me to join them at the Sprout Truck for a day full of fun at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. They are having a blast traveling the country letting people explore and create with the Sprout.
The truck itself is absolutely adorable. From the exposed brick to the bright colors, I was impressed right off the bat. They even have a 3D printer on hand to show how easy it is to go from thought to expression in an instant with their breakthrough technology, which combines the digital and physical worlds with a hands-on experience.
Just imagine letting your kids create with play-doh, capture a 3D model with the Sprout, and then print out a 3D model of what they made. Naturally my favorite guests that came through the truck were the little ones excited to touch the screen and have full control over their experience. And one young woman amazed me with her ability to draw so flawlessly right onto the Sprout mat with the stylus pen.
