happy

Matilda is five months old and happy.

She has the kind of smile that is impossible to hide. When something catches her attention her body is immediately immersed in happiness. Sometimes she almost seems embarrassed that she can't stop from smiling. Her little body stiffens as if to allow her joy the opportunity to burst out the tips of her fingers and toes. Her laughter is abrupt and jumps right out in the middle of a smile. This only makes Matilda laugh more; either because she was startled or because she believes laughter to be contagious and often continues laughing as long as someone else has joined in with her. My favorite smile of hers right now, is the one that gently appears after every kiss from her brother.
